30 Day Returns
If your Hanover Jewelers purchase does not meet your expectations, you may return the item in its original and unused condition within 30 days after purchase date, for a full refund or an exchange.
After we have received your returned item, you may elect to receive either a full refund (excluding shipping charges and engraving fees) or an exchange. See below for more details on our refund and exchange policies.
If the return was a result of our error (incorrect or defective item) we will also reimburse you for your return shipping costs. Otherwise you are responsible for return shipping fees.
Refunds
Your refund will be issued within four weeks upon our receipt of the returned item. However, in most cases you will usually receive your refund much more quickly. The time period for a return includes the transit time to return the item (5 to 10 business days), our time to process your return (3 to 5 days), and the time it takes your bank or credit card company to process the refund request (5 to 10 days). We value your patience during this time.
Note that we can only offer refunds on our rings but not our services, specifically our engraving service. Engravings are a one-time fixed cost for us whether you keep, return or exchange a ring, so please understand that this is the reason why we cannot refund the engraving fee.
Even if your ring has been engraved by a third party, we will still honor the right to refund or exchange. Rings that have alterations or customizations other than engraving are not eligible for refunds.
Refunds cannot be given on any shipping charges incurred. Shipping charges, like the engraving service, are a one-time fixed cost for us and cannot be recovered.
Exchanges
An exchange can also be made within the same 30-day return period from the date of purchase. If the ring does not fit and you want a different size, you may exchange it for a new size of your choosing. We are unable to offer exchanges for different styles or widths due to pricing differences, therefore only size exchanges are allowed. That's not to say we cannot handle such a request. To "exchange" a ring for one in a different style, the ring will need to be handled as a return and a new purchase for the different style ring should be made separately. We can make exceptions for an exchange in a different width but same style provided the pricing is the same. For any other special circumstances, please don't hesitate to contact support and we will do our best to assist you.
After the 30-day period has passed, our lifetime sizing warranty automatically kicks into effect. There is no need for you to register your ring to make use of our warranty. If you ever send it back, we will be able to identify if it is from us.
